‘Unjustified Burdens’: Senate Passes Resolution to Repeal 46th President Era Appliance Rule

This is not enough!

E.g. consumer dishwashing machines are way too slow and that government regulation long predates the 46th President!

More deregulation of household appliances please!

"... The Senate passed a joint resolution to repeal a Department of Energy appliance standard on Wednesday by a margin of 52-46, further advancing the rollback of [46th President]-era green energy regulations on household appliances.

Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., is the lead sponsor of the joint resolution of disapproval, HJ Res. 42, which aims to nullify a rule issued by the Energy Department on Oct. 9, 2024, under former [46th President], which added new efficiency and reporting regulations for appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, and AC units.  ...

Biden admin crackdown on dishwashers faces widespread opposition

American consumer dishwashers are already an abomination thanks to government overregulation! Our Maytag takes 2-3 hour to clean dishes and some of the dishes will not even be cleaned properly.

Any restaurant with such slow underperforming dishwashers would go bankrupt quickly!

" ..."The proposed rule would tighten the [already tight] energy and water efficiency standards for residential dishwashers, despite the fact that the standards currently in effect are causing serious problems for consumers," the letter stated. ..."

How many morons does the administration of the 46th President have? Too many! Energy Secretary Granholm is certainly one of them!

[1910.00127] A Mobile Manipulation System for One-Shot Teaching of Complex Tasks in Homes: We describe a mobile manipulation hardware and software system capable of
autonomously performing complex human-level tasks in real homes, after being
taught the task with a single demonstration from a person in virtual reality.
This is enabled by a highly capable mobile manipulation robot, whole-body task
space hybrid position/force control, teaching of parameterized primitives
linked to a robust learned dense visual embeddings representation of the scene,
and a task graph of the taught behaviors. We demonstrate the robustness of the
approach by presenting results for performing a variety of tasks, under
different environmental conditions, in multiple real homes. Our approach
achieves 85% overall success rate on three tasks that consist of an average of
45 behaviors each.
