Some have tried to spin/frame this as if the United States engages in widespread child labor due to labor shortages etc. Unfortunately, among them also Palki Sharma!

The facts about this case clearly do not support such severe allegations!

It appears in one instance it was a parent working at a McDonald restaurant who allowed his/her kid to do such illegal work!

It is very regrettable and should be punished, but these incidents are limited to only three franchises in one state! There are over 13,000 McDonald restaurants in the U.S. of which about 95% are franchised.

I myself like so many others worked at a young age at a McDonald restaurant owned by a franchisee in my hometown Frankfurt am Main. It was fairly well paid and it was fun to work there.
