Bill Ackman’s Wife, Neri Oxman, Apologizes for Plagiarism in Her 2010 Dissertation. Will she become a trendsetter?

Bill Ackman helped do oust the Black Privilege President of Harvard University, who was, among other things, accused of plagiarism in her scholarly work.

Looks like it triggered other people to come clean and take off some burden! 😊 Does it not already feel much better after such a confession! Amen! May her beauty shine brighter and be more pleasing and warmer  afterwards and people will take note!

To welcome interfaith couples, this Conservative synagogue hired cantor Freudenberger who is allowed to wed them

I bet the all benevolent God approved it and gave it it's blessing!

The more, the marrier! 😊 It's all about the Mensch!

A marriage between Judaism and Buddhism! How exciting! A match made in heaven! Freedom of religion! We all can learn and appreciate so much from each other!

Her last name Freudenberger translates very loosely into a mountain of joy (pardon my tongue in cheek)! 😊

"... Both refusals were because – like 42% of married American Jews, according to a 2020 Pew study – Freudenberger’s spouse is not a Jew. Peter, her husband and the father of her three children, is Buddhist. ...
It took time to find a cantorial program that would allow her to get ordained with a non-Jewish spouse — just as it had taken time before she found a rabbi who would officiate at her interfaith wedding ...
Now, Freudenberger says she is passing on this gift to other Jews like her by offering interfaith wedding officiation as the cantor of Congregation Shirat Hayam in Swampscott, Massachusetts. ..."

A tattoo with a meaning

When I grew up in Germany basically only some sailors, soldiers, criminals, and prostitutes would wear tattoos (plus indigenous peoples in far away countries or Japanese criminals etc.) Well times have changed.

How appealing tattoos are is up for debate especially the more the body is covered with them. More wearers remorse may well increase as time passes.

Too bad, the guy is hiding his tattoo so much even though only a few can read it anyway.

The Jewish internet solved this missed connection on the 2 train - Jewish Telegraphic Agency

Ukraine couple marries at Kyiv checkpoint during Russia invasion

What a marriage of convenience! God bless this marriage!

"A Ukrainian couple were married near a checkpoint on the outskirts of Kyiv amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Lesia Ivashchenko and Valerii Fylymonov, Ukrainian territorial defense members, tied the knot on Sunday. The bride carried flowers and wore a white veil.
“We decided to get married because we live in challenging times, and you never know what’s going to happen to you tomorrow. That’s why it is better do it sooner than later,” Fylymonov, the groom, said, as translated in a video from The Guardian.
The couple said they have been together for more than 20 years, but they were never officially married until this week.
"We decided – who knows what will happen tomorrow – we should get married in front of the state, in front of God," the bride said.
Until the ceremony, she had not seen Fylymonov since the start of Russia's invasion.
Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, attended the wedding. He shared a video from the event on Twitter. "

Life is full of surprises and coincidences

Playing on the famous theme from the movie Forrest Gump: Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get! 😄

Embrace and discover life: It is full of surprises and coincidences

Breastfeeding in public: There was a woman sitting at a table in a public seating area of a shopping mall reading a large sized book, which appeared to be a textbook. When asked about what she was reading, she showed the cover of the book. It was a course or preparation book for a breastfeeding consultant. In the public seating area only a few yards away there was a young family with a woman breast feeding her baby in public without any cover. The two parties were strangers and most likely not related at all. The future breastfeeding consultant was smiling when this coincidence was pointed out to her.
Now you may wonder perhaps how many lactating or breastfeeding consultants are out there! 😄

Two young African adults meet for the first time: In the same mall, there is also a store run by an international French perfume and cosmetics company with a very French name. Next to it is a large store of one of the most iconic and most valuable (in terms of stock price) American consumer electronics, software, online services companies. There is a young African woman working in the first store. In the latter store, there is a young African man working. Both have been working in these stores side by side for several months. They did not know each other.  The young woman hails from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo and she speaks French. By pure chance, not long ago it was discovered that the young man also speaks some French. It was then immediately suggested to introduce him to the young African woman. Once these two young Africans were introduced to each other, the young man revealed he also was from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Did the young man just say that for whatever reason or was this another almost incredible coincidence? Hint: The DR of Congo the fourth most populous country in Africa

A special thanks to movie theaters open on Christmas Day

On a day when almost any other business is closed, movie theaters are open on Christmas Day! I knew for many years that movie theaters are open during Christmas holidays in Western countries, but I rarely visit movie theaters and definitely not on such a holiday.

Today (12/25/2021), I saw at least four people in a wheel chair and their companions visit a Harkins movie theater in the Phoenix metro area. By wheel chair bound, I mean most likely permanently wheel chair bound not temporarily.

One of these parties was a mother in about her 40s with her young, but presumably adult daughter waiting in a seating area nearby the Harkins movie theater. Not only was the daughter wheel chair bound, but she also suffered from a severe speech impediment and jerky movements. Her mother dressed her up in very nice looking clothing and she was wearing some modest, but appealing makeup. She looked very adorable. She seemed to enjoy herself as far as I could tell. She asked whether there was any Internet access in the movie theater area. Once she got on the Internet with her smartphone, she remarked the Internet access was a bit slow with a big smile.

When I saw the two again a while later, the daughter was still not quite ready to visit the movie theater as I learnt from her mother. So both of them continued to wait for a later show. I hope they went to see a movie or they will try again another day ...

Mason, Ohio, Becomes 41st City to Outlaw Abortion Within Its Limits

Good news!

When does human life begin? It begins much earlier than cutting the umbilical cord! Does it begin at conception?

What is the sanctity of human life? How precious is human life?

Who defends the unborn?

Abortion has something in common with genocide, eugenics, Holocaust etc.! Abortion is a form of infanticide!

Instead of abortion, adoption is a better option available!

The right to an abortion ought to be limited! Rape is one legitimate reason, severe medical or mental issues of mother or fetus is another one that probably most people can agree on. A time limit is reasonable too!

Mason, Ohio, Becomes 41st City to Outlaw Abortion Within Its Limits The city of Mason, Ohio, became the 41st Sanctuary City for the Unborn last week when its city council voted to outlaw abortion within the city’s limits.
