Nepal Was the Warning. What China Is Building in Tibet Is a Real Threat to India and Nepal - a giant hydropower dam in Tibet near a active geological fault line

Very recommendable! China most likely has a lot do do with the latest natural catastrophy affecting Tibet and Nepal.

The video also mentions that China built a dozen or so dams along the Mekong river thereby controlling or worsen droughts in southeast Asia.

China is not bound by any international agreements regarding its massive use of hydro power on some of the most important rivers of the world reaching the Indian subcontinent and southeast asia.

India Plans 5,500 MW of New Hydro Projects in Jammu & Kashmir

Concerning! Will India and Pakistan find a compromise or will this result in water disputes if not a military conflict?

Undoubtedly, India needs more energy supplies for its expanding economy.

Israel conditions Jordan water supply on softened rhetoric, fueling new crisis

Serious stuff! Many wars were fought over water rights! I hope this will not escalate and Benjamin Netanyahu will not make a mistake here.

Jordan has been a good neighbor to Israel for decades, if I am not mistaken! Plus, Jordan risked a lot to be a good neighbor to Israel.

"... After a series of extensions, Jerusalem conditioned the resumption of supply on Amman softening its rhetoric on Israel and on the thawing of relations, which grew increasingly hostile over the course of the Israel-Hamas war. ..."

Israel conditions Jordan water supply on softened rhetoric, fueling new crisis | The Jerusalem Post "The 1994 peace treaty signed by Amman and Jerusalem required Israel to supply Jordan with 50 million cubic meters of water annually, an amount doubled in a 2021 commitment that expired in 2025."

The Ingraham Angle: More on water disputes between the US and Mexico

I just blogged here about another water dispute between MX & US.

U.S. denies Mexico's request for water for the first time in 80 years

Hopefully, this dispute over water will not get more serious or out of hand!

Will President Trump and President Scheinbaum cooperatively seek a mutually acceptable solution?

"For the first time in more than 80 years, the U.S. has denied Mexico's request for water from the Colorado River, escalating tensions over a water-sharing agreement between the two nations.

The State Department says it denied the request because Mexico hasn't complied with the 1944 treaty that established the water-sharing system. That agreement requires Mexico to send 1.75 million acre-feet of water from the Rio Grande to the U.S. every five years. In turn, the U.S. must send 1.5 million acre-feet of water to Mexico from the Colorado River each year.

By the end of 2024, Mexico had delivered only a quarter of what it owed for the current five-year period, which ends in October. Mexico has been struggling with severe droughts for several years. In the first quarter of 2024, the country's agricultural production fell by 6.1 percent, according to a report from the Bank of Mexico. ..."
