Vibe shift: No rap song in the Top 40 for the first time since 1989
Good news! Let's dance in the streets! Long overdue! What comes next in contemporary black American music?
Rap music has become so boring and sometimes so annoying over the the past 20 years or more! So repetitive and without much creativity!
In the beginning, rap music was great, thought provoking, and entertaining like Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's delight (1979) or The Message by the Furious Five (1982)
"Now, what you hear is not a test, I'm rappin' to the beat
And me, the groove, and my friends are gonna try to move your feet
You see, I am Wonder Mike, and I'd like to say hello
To the black, to the white, the red, and the brown, the purple and yellow
But first, I gotta bang-bang the boogie to the boogie
Say up jump the boogie to the bang-bang boogie
Let's rock, you don't stop
Rock the riddle that'll make your body rock ..."
"It's like a jungle sometimes
It makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under ..."

Kodak Black's Jaw-Dropping Performance At The BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 SHOOK THE ROOM! Really!
Is this the best contemporary rap music has to offer? It was jaw-dropping awful! Not not so much shook, but shock! The rap music of the 1980s and 1990s was many times better. This man can not even sing nor hardly speak!
It was mostly deja vu what Kodak Black had to offer!

Rap Hits From 80's Playlist | Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante, Sugarhill Gang & More..
Enjoy! When rap music was still young and often funny!
The 3rd clip features Sugar Hill Gang Rapper's Delight, one of the best rap songs of all time. The fourth and last song is by Grandmaster Flash, but I don't remember it anymore. I believe it was not one of Grandmaster Flash's greatest songs.
