Trump declared fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction

Of course, as expected, lousy and lazy journalists immediately referred to the Iraq War of 2003, where WMD presence was claimed but not found. This obviously a red herring! Trump Derangement Syndrome again?
Unfortunately, the otherwise great Indian journalist Palki Sharma was among them!

An illegal drug that kills over 70,000 Americans per year can be considered a chemical weapon! If it is also confirmed that predominantly Chinese companies produce and deliver the precursors for illicit fentanyl in the US, then you have quite possibly a hybrid warfare situation. This is how serious this matter is!

President Coolidge and the Vagonds

In August 1924 Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, and Harvey Firestone visited President Coolidge in Plymouth Notch as part of a leisurely car trip throughout New England. The meeting was highly publicized because the president was campaigning for the 1924 election and the automotive entrepreneurs were touting the superiority of their products. Source

Harry S. Truman: The Accidental President

Very recommendable! If his "Fair Deal" program was comparable to the New Deal or to the Great Society, than Truman should be considered a failure in promoting socialism and Big Government in the U.S.

Truman's ultimatum regarding Hiroshima

Probably, not many people know that the U.S. warned Japan that if Japan would not surrender the most devastating weapon mankind had ever known would be unleashed!

E.g. Japanese women were drilled to kill U.S. soldiers during an invasion of Japan with pointed bamboo spears.

Why Was Stalin Never Indicted As A War Criminal And For Crimes Against Humanity!

Posted: 9/17/2017

Trigger

Today, I saw a Facebook posting by Lawrence Reed, President of the Foundation for Economic Education wherein he mentioned that the Soviet Union invaded Poland on this day in 1939, i.e. 9/17/1939. Nazi Germany had only invaded Poland 16 days earlier, the official beginning of World War II.

I knew, the Soviet Union invaded Poland as well not long after Germany and that the Soviet Union also committed horrible atrocities in Poland during their occupation. I totally forgot or I never realized how soon the Soviet Union invaded as well.

The Infamous Ribbentrop Molotov Pact To Divide Poland

This pact is also known as the German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact signed in Moscow on August 23, 1939. The treaty included a secret protocol that divided territories of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Romania, into German and Soviet "spheres of influence".

In November of 1939, based on this pact, Stalin invaded parts of Finland. This was followed by Soviet annexations of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and parts of Romania.

This infamous pact and the infamous secret protocol were known to the West even before World War II ended.

Stalin’s Numerous Crimes Against Humanity

Here is a very short list of crimes against humanity by Stalin:
  1. Show trials against opponents
  2. Holodomor (Ukrainian famine)
  3. Horrible labor camps for opponents and dissidents
  4. Forced resettlement of various peoples

The Cold War Could Have Been Much Shorter

I would squarely blame Truman and Churchill for failing to indict Stalin for his many crimes. Instead these two leaders of the Western world preferred to be in a coalition with Stalin way beyond the defeat of Nazi Germany and to let Stalin get away with murder. Charles de Gaulle should be mentioned here too.

Not to indict Stalin was a major blunder of the Western leaders even at a time when the U.S. had absolute military superiority thanks to the atom bomb. The Soviet Union never thanked the West for that.

President Truman On Term Limits For All Members Of The U.S. Congress

Posted: 8/23/2016

Trigger

Received an excellent e-mail today from the U.S. Term Limits organisation titled “This U.S. President Backed Term Limits on Congress”. It is about a great hand-written letter by Harry S. Truman. The original letter can be found here at the Truman Library & Museum.

In this letter, Truman advocated not only to limit the U.S. president to two terms but also all members of the U.S. Congress.

I am a strong supporter of strict term limits for everyone elected to public office or working for public service (including judges, police and much more).

Quotes

  1. “We’d help to cure senility and seniority — both terrible legislative diseases.”
    [Astounding! Two thumbs up!]
  2. “Twelve years of Washington is enough for any man.”
    [I second to that!]
  3. “... there are old time Senators who even make Louis XIV of France and George I of England look like shining liberals.”
[I had a good laugh! Thanks, Truman!]

Atomic Bombs On Hiroshima & Nagasaki

Posted: 5/27/2016

The first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on 8/6/1945 was certainly justified. The arguments for it are well known and generally well accepted (so I will not repeat them here).

Whether it was justified to drop a second atomic bomb within only three days of the first atomic bomb on 8/9/1945 is questionable. U.S. President Harry Truman probably should have intensified the warnings to the Japanese government & people and waited at least a week before dropping the second bomb. I do not believe that e.g. the already weakened Japanese air defenses at that time would have had the capability to prevent a second drop had it been a few days later.

The horrors of the first bomb probably should have been given more time to sink in.

Too Many Bad Deals For Americans Or Socialism Made In The US

The Past 113 Years

The more I study the history of the United States Of America, the more I realize how close the so called Country of the Free have come over the past 113 years to exceed the former Soviet Union in implementing a command and control economy and to reduce the liberties of its citizen not by violent revolution and dictatorship, but by sly gradual Socialism imposed by a strong central/federal government.

Best of all, both leading parties of the US are to blame for this development. The federal courts from bottom to top played along raising the question how independent is the judiciary from the rest of government or why did the constitutional checks and balances fail so miserably.

The Square Deal, The New Deal, The Fair Deal And More

Then there was the New Nationalism, New Freedom, Congressional Government, and later the Great Society. President Obama is the current torch bearer of this sad development.

Anyone who researches the above terms will come away that the so called Progressivism comes pretty close to Socialism and that it reigned for most part of the past 113 years of US history.

I am afraid, too many Americans live in ignorance of this because of public education.
