Why Millions of Women Watch Porn. Why not?

Recommendable! Not unusual in the age of gender equality! 😊

Women may not watch the same porn so!

Does having sex on the first date help monogamous California mice fall in love and form stable pair bonds

Here is a scientific Valentine's Day story! 😊

"While many animals take a pretty casual approach to sex, some species prefer to settle down with a single partner. Scientists who study the neurobiological basis of monogamy have taken a particular interest in California mice, which form lasting pair bonds with their mates, co-parent, and defend territory together. But what makes these rodents want to get hitched? According to new research, it may all come down to sex—and timing.

In a recent experiment, scientists tested how committed male and female mice were to one another after cohabitating for one, three, five, or seven days. Relationships can move pretty fast in the rodent world, because when a female mouse was in the most fertile, sexually receptive phase of her estrous cycle, the researchers saw evidence of partner preference after just 24 hours. Pairs that mated prior to being tested seemed particularly lovey-dovey: These animals visited their partner’s chambers more frequently and spent more time huddling, licking, and grooming than those that remained celibate.

Overall, while having sex on the first date may not be a requirement for the formation of lasting pair bonds, these findings suggest that being in the mood for love can play an important role—at least in rodents."

From the abstract:
"Pair bonds are a hallmark of many monogamous species, yet in the monogamous California mouse (Peromyscus californicus) pair-bond formation is poorly understood.
While pair bonds are often assumed to be present after a week of cohabitation, when they actually form in this species is debated.
To characterize pair bond latency in California mice, we conducted three-chamber partner preference tests for both males and females following 1, 3, 5, or 7 days of cohabitation. Since copulation may contribute to pair-bond formation, animals were paired when females were in estrus and were assessed continuously throughout the cohabitation period for copulatory behavior.
We found evidence of pair bonds after 24 h of cohabitation for both sexes with no significant changes in partner preference behaviors across cohabitation periods. Focal animals spent more time in the partner's chamber, were more affiliative toward the partner than the stranger and displayed more aggressive behavior toward the stranger.
Affiliative behaviors were consistent between the sexes, while males attacked the stranger more frequently and for longer durations than females.
Pairs that copulated prior to partner-preference testing spent more time in the partner's chamber and more time huddling, licking, and grooming their mate than those that did not copulate.
We conclude that although copulation may not be necessary for pair-bond formation, sexual receptivity at time of pairing is important for the development of these social relationships and that copulation may serve to enhance pair bonds in California mice."

Women with high levels of ‘interoception’ orgasm more often. The secret of the female orgasm may have been revealed . Really!

Why use big latin words to describe a simple, long known fact that frigid women or guilt driven women or women subjected to religious or cultural  orthodoxy may not quite have the pleasure. Or how about old fashioned trust, closeness, intimacy, and love as having some influence!

Unfortunately, the article below and the research article both use the ideological and phony woke term "people who identify as women"! Absolutely terrible! Shame on them!

Three of the four authors of this study are women themselves or shall we call them people who identify as women!

If my memory serves me well, there were serious struggles in the 1950s and 1960s or so in Western countries to demonstrate and establish that women have intense orgasms too comparable to men and/or different from men. The struggle succeeded back then already!

However, the authors of this new study almost want you to believe that the female orgasm is still a taboo in Western societies!  What a joke!

Since 1950s or so, the upbringing of girls and sex education in Western countries has changed a lot for the better.

5.3% of the 318 respondents of this study were not women, but trans men or non-binary! I guess, these are the signs or manias of our time! Science follows fashion! It would not have crossed my mind to muddy the study by including these individuals! DEI must die!

This study suggests that self stimulation (masturbation?) or "solitary orgasm" without partner seems to be of "greater frequency and satisfaction".

"A new study investigating the female orgasm has found that women have more frequent and satisfying climaxes when they have high levels of “interoception” – the ability to focus on and sense body sensations such as heartbeat and touch. ...
The majority of respondents were cisgender women (94.7%), 2 were trans men (0.6%), and 17 (4.7%) identified as non-binary with female sex assigned at birth. .."

"... Researchers led by the University of Essex found that women climax more frequently if they have high levels of an inward-looking sense known as interoception. ...

discovered women who noticed and attend to internal bodily signals– like heartbeats, breathing, and sensual touch sensations - have more frequent orgasms. ...

“Our study empirically demonstrates that women need to get out of their heads and into their bodies in order to have more frequent and satisfying orgasms. ..."

From the abstract:
"Background:
The female orgasm is a highly understudied phenomenon [??? Really!] that is linked to both wellbeing and relationship satisfaction in women. Although orgasm has been associated with interoception—the sense of the physiological condition of the body—very few studies have directly examined the influence that interoception has on orgasm.
Objectives:
This study investigates how the subjective experience of one’s interoceptive capacities (called interoceptive awareness) is associated with self-reported orgasm frequency and satisfaction in people who identify as women [Grrrr!!!! Cringe!].
Methods:
In a dataset of 318 women, orgasm frequency and satisfaction were both rated significantly higher for solitary as compared to partnered sexual experiences. Results:
Analysis of how dimensions of interoceptive awareness correlated with orgasm frequency and satisfaction showed that
(1) ‘Noticing’ predicted orgasm frequency (but not satisfaction) across both solitary and partnered interactions,
(2) ‘Attention Regulation’ predicted greater frequency and satisfaction of solitary orgasm (but not partnered interactions), and
(3) ‘Body Trusting’ predicted orgasm satisfaction (but not frequency) across both solitary and partnered contexts.
Conclusions:
Findings underscore the importance of moving beyond orgasmic dysfunction research by investigating how interoception is associated with healthy—and potentially even optimal—orgasmic functioning in women."

This is why we stop faking orgasms – University of Copenhagen

The Scandinavians are known for their more nonchalant approach to sex! When was the last time you visited a sauna?

If you fake it, you loose it?

I believe, it has been known for several decades that faking an orgasm (repeatedly) could be as sign for some trouble. So this study only confirms it.

"... Faking orgasms is not without consequences for ourselves and the sexual partner. It can significantly impact the relationship and may be a sign of deeper issues, according to the researchers behind the study. ..."

From the abstract:
"The current study investigated the phenomenon of faking orgasms, including the reasons why people stop faking orgasms, sociodemographic predictors of faking orgasms, its association with sex toy use, and its association with sexual, relationship, and life satisfaction. A cross-country convenience sample of 11,541 respondents from six European countries (Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Sweden, and the UK) was collected in May and June 2022 through respondent panels by Cint, a market research software platform. Participants completed an online self-report survey. The study’s main findings showed that around 51% of men and women in the study had never faked orgasms, around 28% had faked orgasms but stopped faking and around 13% currently faked orgasms. Further, the reasons for men and women to stop faking orgasms included becoming more comfortable with not having an orgasm, improving sexual communication with their sexual partner, and the partner paying more attention to the respondents’ desires and preferences. Finally, it was shown that faking orgasms was associated with lower sexual, relationship, and life satisfaction. The current study represents one of the few research projects focusing on the phenomenon of stopping faking orgasms and reasons for it, with the added strength of including a large male sample."

Sexualität im Alter: Ein Grundbedürfnis bis zum letzten Atemzug

Schlagzeile des Tages!

Zum Liebesleben der Schweizer! Was geht da ab in den Alpen?

Female Democrat candidate who livestreamed sex acts with her husband for money loses bid for Virginia House seat

The joy of sex happens not to be an election winner! Don't mix politics and sex so they say! 😊

Nice try!

"The Democrat candidate who filmed pornographic videos with her husband and streamed them online has lost her bid for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.

In September, Susanna Gibson, a 40-year-old wife and mother of two who was vying for the state House seat representing District 57, made national headlines when news broke that she and her husband, John David Gibson, had previously livestreamed themselves having intimate relations on the website Chaturbate.

Sex Appears to improve Brain Health in Older Adults, Scientists Say

Age is only a number!

"... A longitudinal study on life, sexuality, and mental sharpness in the US has now shown that sexual activity in older people, who do not live in nursing homes, is linked to better cognitive function down the road. ...
The dataset is nationally representative and includes information on how often Americans have voluntary, partnered sex (not necessarily intercourse), the level of pleasure they derive from that sex (orgasm or no), and how emotionally satisfying they find their sexual relationships. ...

Among those aged 75 to 90, the frequency of sex appeared to be key. This group was found to have significantly better cognitive function five years on if they were currently having sex at least once a week.

For adults aged 62 to 74, on the other hand, the most important factor for future brain health was the quality of sex being had, in terms of both physical and emotional aspects. ...
But while research has found that sex can have mental and physical health benefits, including improved cardiovascular health, reduced distress, and improved happiness and well-being, its impact on the health of the aging brain is largely unknown. ...
Lastly, sex may improve cognitive function through the release of dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter linked to improved memory. ..."

From the abstract:
"Using a life course approach, we examined how sexuality is related to cognitive function for partnered older adults. We utilized longitudinal data from two rounds of the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP) to analyze 1,683 respondents. Cognitive function was measured using a continuous Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score. We considered both sexual frequency and sexual quality (i.e., physical pleasure, emotional satisfaction). We estimated cross-lagged models to consider the potential reciprocal relationship between sexuality and cognitive function. Results indicated that sexuality was not related to later cognitive function in the total sample, but the pattern varied by age and gender. For adults aged 62–74, better sexual quality (i.e., feelings of physical pleasure and emotional satisfaction) was related to better cognitive functioning, while for those aged 75–90, more frequent sex was related to better cognitive functioning. Feelings of physical pleasure were related to better cognitive functioning for men but not women. There was no evidence of cognitive functioning being related to later sexuality. The findings highlight the importance of age and gender in modifying the link between sexuality and cognition in later life."
