Argentina is transforming from an energy importer into a growing energy exporter since 2024

Good news!

"... Oil production from the Vaca Muerta shale formation is up 28 percent from a year ago, and crude oil became the country’s largest export product during the first half of 2026."

"... Shale now represents 71% of Argentina’s total production of both oil and gas, and crude has overtaken corn and soy to become its top export; Buenos Aires had a record energy surplus of $7.8 billion last year, after becoming a net exporter in 2024. ..."

Industriestrom in Österreich und in der EU dreimal so teuer wie in den USA seit etwa 2023
